About the event
This is Sicily through the eyes of someone deeply connected to it. As the daughter of a Sicilian immigrant with family still living throughout the island, host Jen DeJong has spent years building authentic relationships and experiences rooted in the true spirit of Sicilian life.
In September 2027, The Culture Experience is partnering with Sicilian Encounters and founder Jen DeJong to bring you our very first international cultural immersion experience through the heart of Sicily. With more than 25 years of travel coordination experience, her approach goes far beyond sightseeing. This is about slowing down, connecting with people, and experiencing Sicily the way locals actually live it.
However, this is not the “tourist version” of Italy. This is slowing down, listening to stories and experiencing the culture and traditions experienced through the lens of a village.
